Hello guys, I’m beginner and it’s going to be my first ACCA exam this June in F7. I’ve just claimed my exemptions of first three books and I have several questions.
As far as I know F3 covers more than average Financial Accounting Books’ chapters. I have learned only financial accounting fundamentals at bachelors degree and can’t say I was shining star in class. Some tell me that I can’t pass without good knowledge of whole F3 book.
Can you guys please share experience, if I study only F7 with it’s practice kits, will it be enough or I have to revise some chapters from F3? which ones to be more specific?
Thanks in advance! I have both books, Kaplan and BPP.

I recommend that you make an honest assessment of the assumed knowledge of FA by attempting the CBE specimen which you can access from this page https://www.accaglobal.com/sg/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f3/past-pilot-papers.html#
70% is a good foundation – not only for FR but for AA.
When you start on your FR studies, if you find yourself struggling to get to grips with a topic you should be prepared to go back to FA for the basics rather than battle on without comprehension. But rather than study from texts – you will find notes and lectures here to help you https://opentuition.com/acca/fa/

@Ghkhalil – welcome to OpenTuition forums!

If you look at the FR (old F7) syllabus as published by ACCA https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f7/syllabus-study-guide.html you will see that it builds principally on the assumed knowledge of FA (old F3). So you should find it less challenging than PM without MA.

That said, have you looked at our PM resources? https://opentuition.com/acca/pm
I know that John (Moffat) makes a point of covering in the lectures all relevant assumed knowledge of MA. And to “self-study” does not mean unsupported. We (tutors) all answer posts on our respective forums every day https://opentuition.com/forum/ask-acca-tutor-forums

LW is a 2-hour exam and ENG/GLO exams are available as on-demand CBEs. In terms of exam skills progression it makes sense to clear this before moving on to 3-hour session CBEs.
