    Hi,

Well, TX is a really technical papers which has quite a lot of tax rules and allowances to remember. Loads of learning work paired with tons of practice is required. I personally struggled with this subject but that doesn’t mean that anyone else would do too!

I do admire your dedication but you need to see that you are giving less time for preparation for this paper as compared to what ACCA recommends (16 weeks)
    See here
    https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f6/self-study-guides.html#

Giving F6 in March is risky since it is the last sitting for that Financial Act. From June onwards you need to study a new Finance Act which includes new rates and allowances so making the study material for the previous Finance Act (used in March) pretty delusional. Hence, making it necessary to buy new study materials for June onwards.

So it depends upon your situation…
If you already have bought the materials for the March sitting and are adamant to give it in March then you will need to study full days (full time)… That would be difficult if you are working.

Otherwise(and IDEALLY), you can buy the materials for the Finance Act 2018(relevant for sittings June’19 onwards) and start studying from now and give the exam in June’19.
And if you think this is too much time for just one paper, then if you want you can prepare for another Skills Level paper too ALONG with F6.
But you need to make sure that you give the appropriate time to each paper because doing 2 papers for 1 sitting is tricky ( I personally don’t recommend doing that especially if you are working full-time)!

However, as I said, depends upon your situation.

    Hope that helps.

You would need to have watched every lecture, and open tuition have 41 hours of UKTX Lectures, so coupled with going through a question bank book and past papers it would be difficult, if you work.
If you’re currently not working it is definitely doable to achieve a pass but you would need to put in at least 150 hours practise for sure. I hope that helps…

    Great decision @bintetauqeer

Well, I searched for the materials and seem to have come across that Kaplan has not yet made the study materials for exams from June’19 available…

But good news for you BPP has materials available for exams June’19 onwards!
Also you can use the following code to get a discount on the BPP books.
    Check here:
    https://opentuition.com/20-discount-bpp-books/

Remember that from June’19 onwards it is the Finance Act 2018

This means you will have to purchase the materials for TX(F6) FA2018… It will be mentioned there that the materials are valid for exams June’19 onwards.

Finally, it goes without saying, that you should utilise the FREE resources(lecture videos and notes) provided by Open Tuition for the relevant Finance Act. In regards to this, do check the following post
    https://opentuition.com/topic/a-note-for-students-preparing-for-the-tx-uk-exam-in-june-2019/

    Hope that helps.

    All the best!

    Hi,

No TX-UK Variant is available in all 4 sittings (June, September, December and March).

The TX- Irish Variant is actually available only in June and December, from what I know.

    I hope that clears it.
