    Hi,

This December I am taking F6 and retaking F5 which I failed with 42%, I know I can pass it but wanted some advice on how to tackle a re-take. Do I start working through revision questions and see where my weaknesses are and then work on those or go back to the study manual and start again? I have to juggle 2 children but usually manage 1-2 hours during the day and the same in the evenings. I am planning on signing up to the revision course with my provider also.

    Thanks in advance

    Becky

Instead of using the study text, why do you not download our free course notes and then watch the free lectures that are using them?

They cover everything you need for the exam in terms of the content.

Once you have done that then you should work through every question in the Revision/Exam Kit, because it is so vital to practice exam-standard questions.

(Make sure that you have the new edition of the Revision Kit because of the change in the format of the exam.)

Ok great, thank you. I struggled with the linear programming which came up in terms of the equations etc, do you think it’s worth getting a maths tutor to freshen up my knowledge in the mathematical parts?

It might help, but it is hard for me to say because I don’t know exactly what problems you were having.

Why not watch the free lecture on linear programming before you decide. You might find that it sorts out your problems with the equations. If it doesn’t then maybe consider finding a maths tutor.
