I have an exam on Friday after all.Civil law is the one you associate with criminal law. As in, it deals with crimes against other persons as compared with criminal law where the crime is against the government.
Civil law system is a whole system of law which you associate with Common law and Sharia law. Civil law systems are used in countries like France. One of the differences off the top off my head between civil law system and common law system is that in common law a judge may set a precedent while in civil law system a judge just has to apply the rules.
