Hello,
On top of following your lectures and your notes, I am also reading a BPP study text.
On the overall I don’t have problems. However in the BPP text there are always past cases as examples to the theory. My question is, if I understand the theory, do I really need to read the cases?
Honestly, I will never remember them, I am reading them only when I don’t understand the bit. In addition, they are very time consuming.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
The cases (for me, anyway) are what makes the law “really interesting” as opposed to being simply “interesting”
The stories behind the cases make the principles memorable.
But, in direct answer to your question “No, there’s no need to know or remember the case names” and “No, there’s no need to read them either”
Personally, I would. But that’s your choice. There will be NO CHANCE at all to demonstrate your ability to remember case names in the exam (more’s the pity!)
