Dear Chris,
in my text book there is a list of requirements for Parent’s being exempt from preparing consolidated statements:
-the parent itsel is subsidiary
-parent’s debt or equity ubstruments are not traded in public market
-parent did not file ints financial statements with securities comission…
-ultimate parent produces consolidated statements
Should these all be adhered in order not toprepare consolidation or if only one of several is met then it is enough for exemption ?
Thank you.
Hi,
It is only if it is one of the criteria is met and not all of them.
Thanks
