Hi John ,
In exam can we round off all the figures , usually i take all the figures upto one point but in dealing with big number of values it gets hectic especially in Foreign Npv solution. Will there be any deduction?
Yes – you can round. It is impossible to say how much rounding because it very must depends on the size of the figures. Usually round to the nearest thousand, but (especially when it is in a foreign currency and the currency is tiny (i.e. 100’s to the $) then round to the nearest 10,000 or nearest 100,000.
The markers will not be too worried about the rounding – most of the marks are for your approach rather than the exact figures anyway (which is why it is so vital that your workings are set out clearly enough for them to follow).
