Q1and Q2 need to be rounded to the nearest 100. Q4 needs rounding to the nearest 10. This is not specified in the question but does return the correct answers.
August 30, 2023 at 6:32 pm #690989For those who found a correct formula and the right answer to q1, and is now struggling with q2.
By the way question is formulated, I thought that 30000 in calculation for q1 should be changed to 250000, and we should deduct from our new result the result we got in q1. Nope.
Looks like they are asking for a difference in the whole formula result, if variable in question is multiplied to the newly found coefficient – vs without this coefficient.
Correct way to solve it is:
1. As above, 30000 in calculation for q1 should be changed to 250000.
2. Copy that calculation and remove the multiplier of 250000 (or change it to 1, just for a sake of beauty ))).
See what we did? We removed coefficient for the variable in question!
Now you have two results. Their difference is your answer.
Pls remember to round to the nearest 100!Hope admins will be ok with it, as I am explaining the route, not disclosing exact numbers. The way original question is formulated is truly confusing.
October 1, 2023 at 8:46 am #692686Thanks Jara! I was struggling from day to night for this dmn question, not able to figure it out until I saw your notes before sleep. And I wanna leave some reminds for the last question:
1. Simply add on the thousand into the formula
2. Take this to count for the differences with the original answerFebruary 21, 2024 at 4:15 am #700772Thanks for your comments! It helps me to figure out the answer
November 14, 2024 at 8:48 pm #713240hi jara ,
according to your explanation this will be the following input in the formula:Y= a +bX1+cX2+dX3+eX4
DELETED
whatever the answer will be subtract with the answer of Q1.
that is the answer for quest 2.what is the logic? how are we incorporating additional cost in the equation?
