Sometimes I come across this question and it gives the option normative ethics and instrumentalist ethics
I want to know what exactly is this
I tried going through the textbook but I couldn't find this

Ethics
The instrumental view is that organisations take act ethically only if they are consistent with other, more important objectives, like profit maximisation
The normative view is that ethics are based on more fundamental considerations like the duty to act honestly.
I don't think this is on the BT syllabus.
