Do read the following essential article from the ACCA on how questions are marked:
    https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/ACCA_Global/Students/fun/f9/Read_the_mind_of_FM_marker_WEB.PDF

(Do attempt question 32 from the September/December 2017 exam yourself before reading the article. You can download it from here: https://www.accaglobal.com/ubcs/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f9/past-exam-papers.html

Yes, in terms of the studying needed. The lectures cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.

In addition after having studied all of the topics, it is vital to practice past exam and other exam standard questions. For this, it is essential to buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA Approved Publishers (BPP or Kaplan).

In future please start a new thread when you are asking a different topic – this is not related to essential reading.

I am sorry that you have not passed, especially being so close to the pass mark.

The two main things are studying and practicing.
Have you watched all my free lectures? They are a complete free course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.

Do you have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA Approved Publishers, and have you attempted all of questions? It is essential that you attempt all of the questions (and that you attempt the question before looking at the answer so as to be able to properly learn from your mistakes). If you have already done this then it is worth considering buying a Kit from the other Approved Publisher so that you have different questions to practice.

In addition, have you worked through all of the technical articles on the ACCA website, and have you practiced the specimen CBE exam on the ACCA website so as to be sure that you are using the CBE software efficiently? Also, you can find more lectures working through several past exam questions linked from the main Paper FM page on this website.

Finally, do ask in this forum if you meet any specific problems when practicing questions and I will try and help you 🙂

The ACCA have removed it since my original post. It will however be in your Revision Kit.
