If a bonus issue took place during the year, what number of shares should b used in the basic earnings per share calculation?
A. The number of share in issue at the end of the year
. B. The number of shares in issue at the beginning of the year
C. The weighted average number of shares
.D.The weighted average number of shares adjusted by the bonus element
