Which of the following courts hear appeals from the magistrates’s court?
1) county court
2) crown court
3) High court
Crown court and high court are given as the correct options for the above question.
I think county court is also the correct answer. So why is it not given as the correct answer.
Or is it that the answer is wrong and that the correct answer is that all three of them are correct
Why do you think that County Court should be included?
I can find no situation (on the internet) where an appeal against a magistrates decision can be made to Count Court
From the depths of my memory I think that I recollect an unusual situation (was it something about minors being sentenced?) where it was possible to appeal to County Court, but there’s no mention of that now on the net
OK?
Can decisions from magistrate’s court be taken to all three divisions of high court.
If the appeal / case relates to a family matter, the appeal is to the Family Division of the High Court
Any other matter is appealed to the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court
OK?
