Hello, I’m using Kaplan and Bpp revision kits for my study a question on the said topic appeared on both kits :
What is the economic batch quantity used to establish?
Optimal
A reorder quantity
B reorder level
C maximum inventory levels
D quantity to be manufactured
Bpp says the correct answer is A, while Kaplan went for D as the correct answer, please can you clarify?
Do check that the wording in the two questions is actually identical.
The economic batch quantity establishes the quantity to be manufactured each time.
The economic order quantity establishes the quantity to be ordered each time for suppliers.
My free lectures explain the difference between the two.
OK great, thank you sir.
You are welcome 🙂
