In PESTEL analysis, suppose a company is being affected by some health diseases which is affecting their sales and profitability, what type of factor would that come in? Social?

    PESTEL looks at external factors.

If you are talking about the health of staff, that wouldn’t be part of PESTEL. It would affect the organisation’s human resources.

If you are talking about an epidemic that is affecting customers or potential employees, I imagine that it could be classified as social, though the classification is not very important. What is important is that you have spotted the epidemic as a threat to the organisation.

Thank you! and yes I was talking about the epidemic which could affect customers external to organization

So in this analysis, I don’t have to provide a solution to the problem right?
It is just identifying and explaining why it is a threat or opportunity for the organization

You might be asked about how the organisation should respond. But, epidemics are often not easy to deal with. I don’t think this problem is likely in a question.
