ACCA students take note – you must not use gel pens or tippex to the exam hall!
An F7 students recently confessed on one noticeboard that they had used a black gel pen and correction tape. Both are big no-no’s, and one breaches exam rules and could led to an invigilator reporting the student. The ACCA’s Sharon Machado told PQ magazine: “Gel pens don’t come through clearly enough in the scanning process hence answers may not be captured correctly if written in gel pens.”
Candidates are advised to use a black ballpoint pen.
The ACCA has also told students not to use either tippex or correction tape. “These items are not included on the list of permitted items which can be taken to candidates desks,” explained Machado.
She explained that all information relating to permitted stationery is contained within the exam attendance dockets, which students can access many weeks in advance of the exam session.
