    heys guys can anyone of you tell me if the discounted payback period still forms part of the F9 syllabus for the december 2010 exams… I asking so because the discounted payback period isn’t present in the OT notes.

    I hope one of you do help me… I don’t want not to learn this part of investment appraisal and it does come out in the exams!!!

    i checked kaplan book i did not find it in that book… but our F9 teacher has taught us in class…

    check syllabus on ACCA website

    I checked the syllabus but it is not mentioned in it…. it only says investment appraisal techniques!!

    I think by implication it could effectively be in the syllabus as it combines the net present value discounting technique with the payback technique.It therefore gets rid of one of the payback technique’s disadvantages (that it does not consider the time value of money) but the others remain.
