Hello ACCA professional students
I am 3 exams away from being an ACCA. Recently appeared for AFM but failed with poor marks, one of the reason is not being comfortable with PC (very slow in typing). I am in Czech Republic where CBE is mandatory and now I am really very scared to appear for CBE. I already started with AAA and planning to give both in September attempt.
I am seeking your valuable advice for the possible alternatives ?
1. Appear for a single examination and at the Same time getting hands on the keyboard.
2. Appear for both AFM and AAA from a different location where there is still paper based exam ( I am not sure if it is possible) ?
3. Should I switch the optional subject (As I struggled with the spreadsheet) . Please suggest.
Thank you

The more you are struggling with keyboard skills the more you need to practice. You might like to consider AAA in September (because you don't need to use formulae and can just type as in a word doc) and AFM in December when you have more confidence.
I wouldn't suggest you switch AFM solely on the basis of struggling with the spreadsheet - there are lots of ACCA resources to help you. I certainly wouldn't suggest trying to sit paper-based in another country - there'll be even less chance of finding somewhere for paper-based resit. Since this would come at extra cost too (flights/travel/accommodation) perhaps you should consider paying for local tutor support - you may find that a local academy offers something - or contact your local ACCA office to inquire for recommendations.
Thank you so much for your much appreciative feedback, Kim. It is of great help to me. I will definitely proceed with your valuable suggestions.
Many thanks !
