    Hi all,
I am completely confused regarding the different variants for F7 and F8.
I live in Ireland, so I think that I am supposed to do the UK variant.
But I understand that soon everyone will have to do the international variant, so I wonder why the UK one is still available.
It is really hard to know how to proceed and I didn’t find the ACCA site very helpful.
    Has anyone advice?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

most uk students (and more and more Irish) do international variant for F7 and F8 as there is very little tuition anymore for the uk variant (this may be different in Ireland). Next June the ACCA is changing the standards used in the Uk variant to IFRS instead of FRS. For F8 this already uses the international standards for Audit, the only difference is the reporting standards used.

You might want to do the international variant anyway for December as if you did fail you would otherwise have to learn new standards for the following June.

    Hope it helps
