Data Protection Act

WWalt11y ago
Hi, the data protection act protects individuals on whom data is held, all personal data and in any form. However in my studies I've come across "regulated" data, saying only "regulated" data is included in this protection. Please can you let me know the difference and the correct definition of the data protection act. Thanks

All personal data is covered by the DPA. The term 'regulated data' is not defined and presumably just means data regulated by the DPA ie all personal data whereas data about companies is unregulated.
