Does paradigm means the same as organisation culture? Or is paradigm a part of organisation culture?
A ‘paradigm’ is a pattern or model or typical example. In the context of the cultural web think of it as organisational assumptions. For example, a hospital in a state run health care system will have within it certain assumptions about how they should behave: care for all irrespective of income, the most advanced medical techniques used irrespective of cost. These assumptions become part of the culture. Within that, different hospitals and departments within hospitals can have distinctly different cultures depending on who might be in charge of that department (power relations) or control systems.
A private hospital is likely to have a very different paradigm: No money or insurance? Go elsewhere.
