Counter-offer or Request for more information

Hi Divya, If it is phrased in the way you have written it then I would argue that "Can you offer a six month guarantee...." is a question rather than a counter offer. Had the sentence been "I will only buy the car if you give a six month guarantee...then that is more likely to be deemed a counter offer" because it is adding a new term. I hope this clarifies.
