    Hi Chris,

In attempting Q1 for the June Exam the best approach would be to show the workings first and then answer?

My reason is because it would make no logic if i leave pages for the answer whilest showing the workings. Would the marker appreciate this?

Lastly for the ethics issues would it be best advised to start that first?

    Thanks

To share on my personal study, for level F7 it was perfectly fine for me to do all the owrking first and then transfer to statements. But for P2, there are so many workings that I can easily forget to transfer to either statement for to other workings so I had to change my approach that I prepare the statement first, work my way down each adjustment and every time I see an adjustment that need to go to either statement or other workings, I immediately transfer that number to the statement or create another working required for that adjustment. Leaving lots of blank lines along the way as well…

    Hi,

There are various different approaches but I’d start with the workings for for a group SFP question and then once you’ve done the essentials of the workings then I’d start to draft the financial statements and make the adjustments.

Just remember that when doing you’re workings for the adjustments that you do not need any explanations.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks
