Conso- Impairment (foreign operation)

Dear Sir, When we calculate impairment of goodwill for a foreign subsi, we shall use closing rate or average rate?? Is it in SOPL, use average rate, while in SOFP, use closing rate? If that is the case, so the impairment amount in SOPL and SOFP will be differ?? Thank you sir
