Question:
Which of the following is NOT an automatic consequence of a compulsory winding-up order against a public limited company?
(A) Liquidation is deemed to start on the date of the issuing of the order.
(B) Employees are immediately dismissed.
Dear Sir,
This is a past exam question of the F4 December 2014 exam. For the above question, I chose answer (B) but the suggested answer in the exam kit is answer (A). Can you please confirm whether the answer is (A).
I would have selected option A too – liquidation is deemed to commence with effect from the date of the petition to the Court
I am aware that there are some errors in the exam kit of certainly one of the approved publishers
Thank you 🙂
