CIMA exams and courses are available in Trinidad and Tobago.
Broadly, the CIMA qualification is aimed more at those who want a career in commerce and industry whereas ACCA will also cover careers in the accountancy profession. CIMA has no exams in auditing or tax.

Don’t buy text books until you see how you get on with the other resources mentioned.

Also, is it okay to use the 2017 edition BPP books for certificate exams? [Course book for exams in 2017]

The syllabus changed radically in 2019 so the 2017 book is no use any more.
