Choosing the right CPD provider – how do you decide?

Bit of a random question, but I’m curious how others here pick their education CPD provider. I’ve been looking into different options for a while now and honestly, it can get confusing. Some places advertise CPD but don’t really explain who accredits them, while others are more transparent.

From my side, I once joined a short course thinking it was CPD accredited, only to find out later it wasn’t recognised anywhere. Lesson learned the hard way. Since then, I try to stick to providers that clearly show their accreditation details. I recently came across medicprointernationalacademy and they seemed upfront about their CPD side of things, which gave me more confidence compared to some others I’d seen.

Do you guys usually go for big-name providers only, or do you also try smaller ones if they’re accredited? And is there any quick way you double-check if a course is truly recognised before signing up?
