Hi sir,
I have trouble understanding the sentence in the note. ” planning is a means to an end, not an end in itself.” Can you try to explain it
The purpose of a profit-seeking organisation is to make profits. Planning should be seen as a way to maximise the chances of making good profits, but planning does not itself produce profits. At some point people have to ‘do things’ (like manufacture products) rather than simply planning to.
It is pointless planning if nothing ever gets done.
