    Dear Tutor,

I will be resitting my performance management exam this September and I noticed that there has been an addition of a section which involves no calculations (computers information systems) . According to the syllabus now there are 5 section ( the first one will be changed from Specialist cost and management accounting techniques to Computer information system. My concern is will be get section C question from this new section?

    Thanks for your time

    Best regards

Most of the new section is not in fact new – most is just rearranging the previous syllabus.

As far as section C is concerned, the syllabus states that “Section C of the exam comprises two 20 mark constructed response questions. The two 20 mark questions will come from decision making techniques, budgeting and control and/or performance measurement and control areas of the syllabus. These questions may also include requirements related to the information systems area of the syllabus.”

It is very unlikely that a Section C question would be entirely related to information systems – if it is there then it is only likely to be part of a question.

    Good day Sir,

Kindly advise where we can find notes or lectures on this new syllabus area, part A. I see it hasn’t been included in the current notes. They are only starting on part B of the syllabus.

    Thank you.

The notes are not arrange in the order of the syllabus, quite deliberately.

Chapters 20 and 21 deal with part A of the syllabus. Lectures on these two chapter will be uploaded very soon.
