Hello,

Can you pls tell me if there is any change in P7 syllabus for June 2012 from June 2011 sitting? or can i continue to use the June 2011 book?

Your prompt reply will be highly appreciated.

I copied this from the ACCA website.

Is there any reason why you could not have done?

Table 16 – Additions to Paper P7
Section and subject area Syllabus content
D1(i)d), g) Assignments Planning an audit
D2b) Assignments Group audit planning issues
D2d) Assignments Audit impact of changes in group structure
F1a) Reporting Appraisal of auditor’s report
F1d) Reporting Actions which may be taken by the auditor where a
modified report is issued

Is forensic accounting mentioned in the above list?

But you are correct, there is nothing within the course notes on forensic accounting. Is my memory correct that Lisa asked a question on forensic accounting in the exam following her article in Student Accountant? And I don't remember her asking it ever in a previous exam to that one, nor in a subsequent exam.

If it is of particular interest to you, may I suggest that you check out the topic in a study text ( or on the internet )

But thanks for pointing out the omission - I may consider including a page or two of relevant points in future versions of the course notes
