I reviewed the ACCA accounting syllabus for the Jun & Dec 14 taxation exam and the topic change in the accounting date was deleted (page 18).
However, this topic was still covered in chapter 6 in the lectures.
Can you advise.

April 25, 2014 at 4:12 pm #166292Many thanks for your note as it has brought to our attention that I have not put the final version of the notes on the website with the relevant syllabus exclusions so I am most grateful for you alerting me to this fact!!
You are absolutely right that change of accounting date has now been excluded from the syllabus along indeed with incorporation relief and the overseas aspects of corporation tax both of which I regret are still in the published course notes.
I have spoken today with the OT Administration team and it has been decided that for this June we will simply produce an errata sheet noting the specific exclusions as most students will already have downloaded the existing notes. The revised version will then be put online for the December exams.
Once again I am most grateful for you bringing this issue to our attention and my apologies for not having previously identified this error.
