It is mandatory for the calculation parts of questions. You can find a lot of information about the use of excel, and many past exam questions (with answers) to practice using excel on the ACCA website.

Best is to use the ACCA website. Go to the Study Hub where you will find everything (together with plenty of past questions presented just as in the real exam, so using the spreadsheet). Another source would be to buy the BPP Revision Kit (there is a 20% discount if you use the link on this page) because the online version enables you to practice using the spreadsheet. Finally, just for practice at using a spreadsheet in general, best is to search on Google and you should find plenty of resources.

Sir i have been following your lectures but i am bit confused how much it helps in cbe now? I learned my basics of Financial Management F9 from you and i dont think there can be a better tutor thn you for it. My question is in this exam how we can make use of the lectures when all the calculation part is on excel and not manual? For example your lectures on WACC and IRR do we really need to learn the manual way as exams area all computerised now?

You need to understand the 'manual' way because you can be asked to explain. The calculations themselves are performed using the spreadsheet provided.
