A cash handling procedure is proper post-opening arrangement. Can you please explain sir?
In the ‘old days’ sometimes people would send cash in the post to pay their debts (mad, but having a bank account was not so common 50 years ago). More recently (and still occurring) cheques would be sent. Both as susceptible to theft so it was important for controls to operate over the opening of the post. Usually this simply meant that two people had to be present.
Thank you sir.
