hi sir,
i am finding it quite difficult to grasp from the notes what areas we need to learn for the exam considering there is no need for case studies.
for example, in chapter 8 (agency law), it is written formation may be… by estoppel (Freeman &……). as there is no lecture for this chapter and no expansion on this bullet point, do we just have to know that formation may be by estoppel and thats it?
thank you and keep up the good work on open tuition!!
November 29, 2015 at 10:34 pm #286245By estoppel is surely just one example of how an agency relationship may be formed. There must be bullet points following “by estoppel”
But otherwise, yes, that’s all you need
What is at this stage more important even than reading the notes is question practice. Hour after hour of question practice (but don’t mark your answers in the source book (revision kit / exam kit))
And of course post your questions on here and I’ll get back to you
November 30, 2015 at 10:29 am #286362thank you for the prompt reply
this is where i am confused, there are no bullet points following ‘by estoppel’ so we are not able to further our understanding of topics listed like this in the notes
by repeated question practice, it is more memorizing answers rather than actually understanding the subject I feel
November 30, 2015 at 1:40 pm #286422I simply do not believe you – there must be more after “by estoppel”
Is estoppel explained immediately after the bullet
And then after the explanation, isn’t there another bullet like, maybe, by necessity?
November 30, 2015 at 10:54 pm #286573there is a further bullet point after ‘by estoppel’, which is by neccessity
but estoppel is not explained after the bullet point, they are only listed. the lecture goes into case study but now the format of the exam has changed, its hard to grasp the concept of the notes
apologies you are doing a great job, its just i am finding this difficult and its stressing me out
November 30, 2015 at 10:57 pm #286575And before the bullet point “by estoppel”?
And after the bullet point “by necessity”?
Is there nothing there about
“by agreement” or
“by implication” or
“by law” or
“by ratification”?
Are none of those mentioned in this section?
