    Dear Tutor

How difficult are calculations for P6 compared to F6? I understand that there is more narrative on P6 but I am trying to figure out if the “calculation” are the same as F6.

I am planning to use F6 lessons to refresh taxes and prepare P6 (together with P6 books and Practice).

As there are not P6 lessons any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks for your great work

F6 underpins P6 but there’s whole lot of “new calculations” that you will need to perform and the very basic calculations from F6 are unlikely to be tested again at P6 so you need to focus on your P6 material – the examiner’s technical articles are essential reading and practice!
In terms of the balance of the exam you are right there is a lot more narrative with explanations usually being required along with calculations and your communication skills are also being tested.
    Good luck!
