    Hi
I asked for advice in the last sitting as to how to study p1 in around a month. I was told to listen to the lectures and read the notes twice and read a practise and revision book front to back twice and forget opening a big study text.

Is any of that advice applicable for this exam? I know both are written but beyond that I am unsure of the similarities. I did think the last technique worked for me though.

Look forward to your thoughts. Thanks

You can study P3 in a month – but it depends on how many hours per day you can study for.

P3 does have substantial amounts of F5 material in it (eg contribution analysis, variances, costing, regression). Quite often you have to interpret results that were already calculated, but to do that you have to understand the calculations.

By and large the sames advice will work, but I think the emphasis should not be on simply reading the revision book, but rather more on attempting questions (at least to the planning stage) first then analysing the answers.

There are lots of models and frameworks in P3 but you will not get marks from explaining these: marks are obtained from applying models, hence question practice is essential.
