September 6, 2013 at 6:00 am #139955Normal age is 17, which is the age you would be having completed the sixth form in school. The youngest one can qualify is at the age of 19.
You have only completed IGCSE, so you would not matriculate into ACCA anyway. You would have to complete either the CAT level (name changed now) or do sixth form before being eligible for ACCA. See below

September 17, 2013 at 10:19 pm #140711Hi. When are you turning 17 tho?
I too started with ACCA after completing my IGCSE! What you can do is, study the “Diploma” papers of the “Foundations in Accountancy” (FIA) module FAB, FMA and FFA! (they have the same syllabus as the first 3 papers of the ACCA qualification) after you complete these 3 papers along with an online “Foundations In Professionalism” (FIP) module which is free of cost and is for all students to do (the only difference will be that you are doing it at an early stage. Which is absolutely okay!). With completing FIP, you will be given a “Diploma in Accounting and Business”. And after this you can easily continue with your ACCA Qualification staring with the “F4 Law paper”. You will be given exemptions from the first 3 papers of the ACCA qualification i.e. F1, F2 and F3.Good Luck! 🙂
September 24, 2013 at 6:11 pm #141195If you have your GCSE done then this should be fine, but why guess? Give ACCA a call and ask, or send them an email, they seem to respond to emails quickly. This is much easier.

November 3, 2013 at 1:35 pm #144439Yeah l guess you can start at 16 but you have to do CAT first.Me started ACCA at 17 after doing my A levels in 6 months currently an ACCA finalist only left with 3 professional papers still just 19 years old
August 8, 2019 at 9:41 pm #526740I will start this September they enrolled me and I’m still 16, I’m done with AS-levels. But I’m still not registered for ACCA idk if my age will play a role in this. I hope not.
August 16, 2019 at 7:08 pm #527814I have question which i’ve asked before but i want to make sure again.
I don’t have a secondary school certificate or O levels whatsoever. Can i start ACCA by doing FAB FFA FMA without having to take FA1 and MA1? and will i be able to transfer to F4 if i only complete fab/ffa/fma?
August 26, 2019 at 9:31 am #528827If you don’t meet the minimum entry requirements https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/qualifications/glance/acca/minimum-entrance.html you may start with foundations level https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/qualifications/glance/foundation-level/overview.html
FAB/FMA/FFA in the foundation level qualification give exemption from equivalent exams AB/MA/FA in the ACCA qualification. Yes you would have to successfully pass FAB/FMA/FFA in the foundation level qualification in order to transfer to the ACCA qualification and sit LW (old F4), PM (old F5, etc) as they are different qualification schemes.
January 7, 2020 at 5:47 am #556994Guys, there is no minimum age required for the ACCA qualification…
All you need is to start!I started when I was 15yo.. completed foundation papers in my summer holidays just 3months! left school immediately and the ACCA journey started…
2.5 years and done with ACCA…. becoming the youngest member soon;)
By the age of 19, I will be done with my Bachelor’s and Master’s, too..
Isn’t that great?!!You can do it guys too!!
