Hello everyone. ..I knw its very silly to ask such a question…but still I have …. am so confused when comes to calculating months.

Is it from April – march or may – april

In bpp practise question no.10 :

    1 may – 5 april = 12 mnths
    1june -5 april = 10 mnths

Can someone help me with it pls.

I do not have the BPP material to be able to comment on your individual query but we normally work to the nearest month when doing time apportionments for the tax year, hence 1 June – 5 April would indeed be 10 months, on which basis one would say that 1 May – 5 April should be 11 months.
