Hi, Im new to this forum and also ACCA exams. Im planning to try CBE F1 F2 F3 in June or July, and read through many discussions in this forum regarding study material for them. I have decided to buy BPP textbooks, P&R kits, and passcards and searched in Amazon, but all the textbooks are published in 2009 and P&R and passcards in 2009 or 2010. Are they latest revision? If not, should I buy the ones directly from BPP? I also would like to know how usefull those CD-roms (I-pass, I-learn, success) are. Well, of course they should be usefull but I mean in terms of cost-effectiveness. I will get them if they are must to pass the CBEs but if many of you could mange without them, Id go without them as well. It would be great if any of you could give any opinion based on your experience.

I would highly recommend to buy materials directly from official publishers, in your case it’s BPP. Just register here and purchase books , it will be easy and simple :
https://my.bpp.com//MyBPP/login.aspxwhat u will save from buy materials from Amazon or any other place that will be out of date??
U can purchase E-materials from BPP as u don’t have much time for them to be delivered and u will get links to books in seconds. As for discs , not much time is left for you, however i can say that success CD’s are absolutely useless . I tried them couple of times and was just dissapointed.
I-pass is absolutely perfect and a must for CBE exams. I strongly recommend it.
As for I-learn , it is not bad , but not really worth it.
U have OT resourses and u’ll have your books and I-pass, that will be more the enough. One small advice , pay attention to paper F1. Syllabus is huge and F1 exam is not that easy. It is very theoretical and u’ll need to remember alot.
If you have good accounting background then u might prepare for F2 and F3 easily ..though F3 is a bit tricky.Well , best of luck for your exams …! 🙂

Hi, I have not sat for exam for now close to 2 years since I last passed my F papers. I would now like to attempt P1 & P2 exams this coming December. Any suggestions as to which study materials are a “must have”? Which one is better, Kaplan or BPP?
