Hello. In this b, using pestel model, in social issues, why in uk there will be increased proportion over retirement age?
Why is developing countries attractive to markets?
Thank you in advance.
UK: that’s the way it is here: people are living longer because of medical advances. This is the pattern in many countries. It also depends on the birth rate. If this is low then the proportion of older people will also tend to grow.
Developing countries can be attractive because a foreign company going in is likely to to face much domestic competition, which might not have developed yet. Of course, selling prices might have to be lower, but it is often worthwhile ‘getting a foot in the door’ early in the hope that the country’s economy really takes of.
