From case study BCO – the answers say the board of trustees is not financially rewarded for their role, as it effectively acts on behalf of the stakeholders of BCO.
So does this mean that the board of trustees do not get any financial remuneration? What is there motivation for being a board of trustee if there is no fixed pay like for a NED?
I know NEDs get a fixed income for their role which is not based on company performance.
Generally, trustees do not get remuneration. Most trusts are for charitable purposes, as here. Trustees act out of their own charitable motives ie they feel they are doing good just as those who donate to charities do.
Amazing, thank you!
