Can anyone advise why there is the need to use a black ball point pen in exam. I used one of the frixion ball point pens (black) and now having a mini panic that my paper will be rejected and not marked!! I have used before and was OK but they seemed to be making more of a point of this in this sitting.

Apparently that's because gel pens do not show up when they scan the papers for the markers.
To be honest, I have also used the same pen as you back in March and had no problem with that. Should be fine, I guess.
