    Hi
I passed all my ACCA exams nearly ten years ago
At the time I apllied for full membership but my then boss refused to sign me off
I felt they were being pedantic, took the huff, and left for a new job elsewhere
I have since changed jobs a few times always being up front about being an affiliate only
However, I am now at a point where it is holding me back from more senior roles
What are my options for fulfulling membership requirements after all this time?

Well, you need to tick 4 boxes to become a member:

    – Pass all exams
    – Pass the Ethics & Professional Skills module (or the old ethics module before this was removed)
    – Have 3 years relevant work experience signed off
    – Have your practical experience record signed off

You need to log in to myACCA and check yous status report. This will show you what you have and haven’t done.

It sounds like you have well over 3 years experience but this hasn’t been signed off by anyone, so if you can contact a qualified accountant from past jobs who will sign it off then you can cover that, otherwise you’ll have to start from whenever you started your current job.

Likewise with the PER, you’ve probably done enough to cover everything but finding someone who will sign it off may be the difficulty.
