Sir, if the bank statement had a minus balance, does it mean the the bank statement has a debit balance?
Yes – a debit balance on the bank statement means that they are overran (a negative balance).
I do suggest that you watch our free lectures on bank reconciliations, where the reason for this is explained.
(Our free lectures are a complete course for Paper F3 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.)
