i have recently cleared F8. my knowledge of F8 is pretty fresh in my mind right now i would like to take P7 but things which are unknown to me are. what kind of knowledge is required from P2?
can i take p7 with F7 knowledge of accounting standards?
or should i go for P2 first?
i look into past papers of P7 i saw group accounts audit is there but how much knowledge of Group accounts is required? i have essential but not advance.
This is a very tricky question for me to try and answer and a lot depends upon you personally and your personality!
There’s a LOT of P2 in P7 and there’s not much F8 in the advanced paper
I think I would be more inclined to tackle P2 in December and leave the auditing until you’ve a better, deeper understanding of advanced corporate reporting
Sorry if that throws a spanner into your plans
First of all Thanks for the reply. for past few hours I have spent tackling past papers of P7 also look throughout OP notes. to me at this stage looks a bit similar to f8. I mean I have seen topics around here ppl are preparing p7 and clear f8 with it. But I get your point and also looking into past papers, questions required more deeper understanding of standards. Though part of me still telling me I can do it.
Fine – there’s nothing like self-belief 🙂
And if there’s any assistance that you find you need along the way, let me know and I’ll see what I can do
