when calculating gain/loss on disposal of asset, we compare disposal proceeds against c.v of the asset at the date of disposal.
if there is any cost of disposal present should we need to adjust that also reducing the disposal proceeds

No, the gain/loss on disposal is simply the proceeds less the carrying value.
