If a question asks you to evaluate the performance of a company, can I stick to three ratios such as Profitability, Liquidity, and Gearing and link that to the scenario given. Will I get marks for this???’

In general, yes. However, you might have to be careful not to confine your comments to financial performance. It depends on the question. For example, if the question made it clear that slaes growth was important, or that developing new products was important then measuring those aspects would be relevant to assessing company performance.
