Just a quick enquiry if anyone can help?
I’ve passed my exams, had my PER signed off and have finished the professional ethics module online, so I’m ready to apply for full membership, but I am quite impatient haha. So I was just wondering which is quicker in practice, to wait for the ACCA email inviting me to apply for member ship (which they say can take up to 2 weeks to receive then up to 10 days to transfer the membership), or to ‘Apply Online’ for membership through myACCA which they say can take up to 6 weeks.
But how long does each actually take when it is done? Anyone know?

Applied for it only to be told my PER was not signed off. Spent that particular day doing the challenge questions and asked 2 of my previous bosses to sign it off online instantly π . Took about another week after re-submitting to receiving the acceptance email π
March 1, 2013 at 12:19 pm #118955Good work ezza, your bosses must be very efficient.
So are you now using your letters? Or you waiting till you get your certificate?

Not used any of my letters yet apart from my CV. I have yet to pay the fee once they invoice me. My membership status will be awarded in 12 working days so still a few days left. Then the certificate needs to be sealed in Mid March before allowing 6 weeks for the certificate to arrive.
I wonder if the certificate is being sent from another planet, 6 weeks is a rather long time LOL.
Have you sorted yours yet?
March 2, 2013 at 8:14 am #118995If any of you got paper sign-off, can you tell me if all my ex-employers have to sign on it or only the place where I achieved the PO.
In my case I worked at 3 different employers and all POs were achieved at the first place of work. The employer has agreed to do a paper sign-off on all objectives.
Do I still need to get signatures of the other two employers?
March 2, 2013 at 9:05 am #118997Hey Ria, I do think that technically you should be having the person sign it off who knows that you have done the work.
If u were to ever have an audit on your PER it would cause problems for you I think. Is there no way u could transfer your information to the online one and get your old employers to sign it off that way? I got my old employers to sign stuff off that I had done there.
I have received my email sqying my application for membership has been accepted too. Looking forward to receiving my certificate.
March 3, 2013 at 11:22 pm #119088i had the same problem bcoz i have not done my performance objectives as well . i did them in one day and one of my mentors has signed off his part, now waiting for the other one and he is taking his sweet time hopefully by end of this week he will have done it. I want this out of my way!!!
March 7, 2013 at 9:07 am #119441hi everyone and congratulations to ezza for her successful transfer….i submitted signed off PER through ONLine MYEXPERIENCE portal, ethics module and application for membership submitted on March 5th, 2013.. how long it will take to get it approved and get the certificate.?
March 8, 2013 at 10:34 pm #119528Hey guys!
Congrates on your achievement!
I am in the process of completing mine this year as well!
My boss keeps on asking what papers the company have to submit from his end for my PER!
And what information he will be asked?
Any ideas?

Hi ezza2203,
I also received an email from ACCA that my certificate will be sealed in Mid March. I guess our certificates will be sealed around the same time. I am currently residing in Singapore and as such 6 weeks to deliver is a reasonable period.
Do check online payment as I have paid the 205 pounds admission fee.
Your status in MyACCA will show from Affiliate to Graduate pending member
Congrats and best wishes in your future endeavours
March 12, 2013 at 6:36 pm #119731When did you guys apply and when was the confirmation received…total duration??
March 12, 2013 at 6:38 pm #119732Isn’t the confirmation mail subject to ACCA admission committee meeting ??
March 12, 2013 at 7:56 pm #119736pkacca, i guess the admission committee meeting is just to endorse the acceptance because our accounts have already been charged the admission fees.
Good Luck!!!!March 13, 2013 at 12:49 am #119744AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

First, you will receive an invitation to apply for membership from ACCA.
You have to reply Yes to transfer to ACCA”s registers of members.
Subsequently, there will be a reply email stating that your membership application is complete (i.e. ACCA has received all relevant information) and the certificate will be sealed at the next meeting of ACCA Council which is scheduled to take place on Mar13. The duration inbetween these emails are within a week.
March 13, 2013 at 3:35 am #119745I have a question.. Do you have to complete PO’s to become member or both PO and 36 months of relevant experience?

Yes you need to complete both the POs, i.e. signed by the mentor and have 36 months of relevant experience.
Usually, the 36 months are relative easy to clock as when you update the work place details according to your period of work, it will automatically calculate the number of years clocked/recorded.
However, the POs you need the mentor to sign off.

Hi ezza, I also received an email from ACCA that my certificate will be sealed in Mid March.
Do check on your online payment as I have paid the 205 pounds admission fee.
That means your certificate and mine are sealed around the same time.
