Hi.
I currently am studing ACCA and unfortunately I couldn’t attend university due to lack of funds. I saw the Oxford Brookes degree plan and wanted to ask will it be worth to achieve this as I do not have any degree or directly finish ACCA?
If choosing to complete the Oxford Brookes degree, I will see myself going into much heavy debt than I already am in trying to complete ACCA so I want to be sure of the choice I make.I have researched on multiple sites and many of which recommend it since I have no degree so I just wanted a final bit of advice from the site I trust.
Any help will be much appreciated.December 12, 2020 at 10:34 pm #599745Hello @kish200,

It is absolutely fine if you haven’t attended university and came directly into ACCA. In fact, that is something very common amongst those of us who come into pursuing ACCA. So do not worry about it.
I would say focus on your ACCA studies, study well, pass your exams and emphasise on gaining skills that would make you come up to the demands of today’s employers.
I know people who choose not to do the BSc degree.
And let me tell you an interesting fact, when you take the first 9 papers of ACCA it becomes equivalent to a degree standard. And when you take the last 4 papers ie Professional level in which case it is equivalent to a masters degree. This is mentioned here https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/qualifications/accountancy-career/ukschoolleaver/qualifications.html#:~:text=The%20ACCA%20Qualification%20is%20broadly,equivalent%20to%20a%20masters%20degree.
All the best for your ACCA journey.
Hope this helps.
