Can you still pass the paper if you don’t really link answers from different exhibits?!

You don’t necessarily have to cross-reference everything in your answer to where the information appears in an exhibit. However, your answers must make use of the information in the exhibits, by which I mean that the marks are earned by applying knowledge and theory rather than reproducing knowledge and theory.

    Sir Ken,
Please guide me how do I go through this SBL paper which is my last paper to clear ACCA. This Sep is my fourth attempt and in previous 3 sitting I always failed with 40+. I’m really down during these days when I practicing the question as I’m unable to get the answer like exam sheet. Tell me how do I practice in this one week time.
    Appreciate Sir.

Sorry to hear about your SBL difficulty.

Concentrate on answering requirements as though you were in your work environment and were producing a report/memo/letter/PowerPoint slides etc for your boss or for a client. Think about the professional way you would approach the task, concentrating on making commonsense points. Initially, do not worry about models.

When you know what you want to say you then add power to your answers by backing them up using appropriate models, but being careful to use the models rather then explaining them. If you find yourself explaining a model, you are almost certainly not answering the question correctly.
