How do we manage to answer questions that requires calculation of ratios in answering evaluative questions? Most times, I will need to think of which ratios are relevant to the question, show how to calculate it to the examiner and then apply it to the question within your comments/explanation. Do I append it elsewhere then link it back to my comments or just include everything in the notes altogether – it still takes considerable time. I hope you understand what I mean.

Any tips for quickly working through these type of questions in exam condition?

Unless it is in question 1 (where you are normal required to produce a report and then an appendix with you workings) then there is no need to keep the calculations and discussion separate.

Just make sure you present things neatly enough for the marker to be able to follow what you are doing 🙂
